My Grandmother has been suffering from congestive heart failure for quite some time, and is again in the hospital and not doing well. Mom and I are flying up to Michigan tomorrow to visit her and try to help out my aunts and uncle, who have been staying with her round the clock.  So I won't be posting any new updates for several days.

Just wanted to leave a quick update since it's been awhile.  I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to share, but we don't have many new ones, and for some reason, I can't seem to upload them from the camera anyway.

As I mentioned earlier, Mom and I have been in Michigan to visit with Grandma.  We were able to give my aunts and uncle a much needed, albeit small, break as caregivers, and I had a wonderful visit with Grandma that I will cherish forever.

Becca watched the kids one day so Mark could work while I was gone.  She played Supermom and took the kids all over the place.  I'm not really up for trying to create my own post, but Becca posted some wonderful pictures.  Click here to check them out.

I was cleaning out the toy box today, and before I knew it, the toy box had become a sailboat!

Row, row, row your boat . . . .

We've been quite busy getting into full gear for our trip out to San Francisco and Seattle.  But also, we've had to get ready for the first day of school!  We get home on July 30 and the first day of school is August 5.  Yesterday the boys and I hit Target to try to complete Alex's very long list of required school supplies.  I'm so glad I didn't opt to buy the PTA's flat-fee "pre-packaged" school supplies, because Alex really got into it, insisting on pulling each item off the shelf himself, and carefully considering folder colors.

Today we actually managed to drag Daddy out to the mall!

Mark was a saint today and let me sleep in quite late.  During that time, they made a soccer field out of Lego's!

Let the games begin!

I didn't think I would have anything to share for today until I went to check on the kids before I went to bed.  I guess Patch isn't quite ready to give up his bed rail yet!

If he grows another inch . . . . . . . .

We spent the day over at Ms. Becca's house today.  She had an appointment so I watched all 5 kids for half the day. I had also brought Boudreaux and Trouble with me to drop them off, since they'll be staying with John and Becca while we're gone.  What a wonderful, exhausting day!  Andrew surprised us all by saying "Miss Susan" - I think it's only his 4th word!

The boys made a "mall" out of blocks while I was putting Andrew down for his nap. Andrew and Trouble are in love!

Look out, San Francisco and Seattle!  Here we come!

We leave bright and early tomorrow for our two-week vacation.  I'm not sure if I'll be doing web updates or not - it all depends on if I can make it work from the laptop.  If not, then I'll have tons of wonderful things to share in two weeks!
