LAKE GEORGE
September 9, 2001 (cont'd)
Today was a water day!
Alex spent every moment at the lake that he could lure an adult to go
with him. There were children
everywhere laughing and playing. It
was like being in heaven. Alex got
his first taste of kayaking on his own, albeit just around the swimming area
with Mommy walking along side and Patch riding on the back.
We made sand castles with walls and moats, and Alex and Christian
“cleaned” all of the kayaks on the shore when they failed to get permission
to take one out on their own. Nana
and Alex had their annual ping pong competition, and then Jay, Mike and John
gave all of the kids shuffleboard lessons.
Periodically, one of the kids would wake up “The Claw” (which it
would seem is permanently attached to Uncle John’s arm) and get tickled into
hysteria.
